Bonfire Night has to be my favourite night of the year. I plan Bonfire Night like other people plan birthdays or Christmas. From mittens, lined boots, sparklers, toffee apples, flasks of spiced rum- to the exhilaration of fizzing firework displays. Kids are allowed to stay up late and grown ups can eat hot dogs for dinner.

I couldn’t love it more.

But with no public firework displays this year and no gatherings over 6- things are set to be a little more subdued. And that’s where we swoop into your rescue. No soggy sparklers around these parts.
