Winter Lights Spectacular!

Look, I’ll be honest here. I made a decision to not make plans in January- and then I broke that rule spectacularly by agreeing to travel to London for a 10 day MEGA event. It could have meant a week of being freezing and exhausted but I’ve been loving every moment.

Yup, this year we’re back at Canary Wharf Winter Lights for the first time in 4 years and it’s one of the most stunning events we’ve been part of. The scale of Canary Wharf is Manhaten-esque in it’s stature- it really has an otherworldly feel. Each year they invite light artists from all over the world to install mesmerising light structures as part of a free trail and they’ve allowed us to take over Jubilee Place gardens with our toasting marshmallow experience.

With skyscrapers lighting the way, Iight filled pyramids, neon swirls and fire bolt flashes this is one of the most sensory and exciting places to spend a January evening I could ever imagine.

Jubilee Place gardens is where you’ll find us- just across the road from the spectacular ‘submergence’ piece by squid soup. The enormous Canadian pine trees of the park have been illuminated bright pink, we have luxe new fire pit surrounds in a glossy pink finish with a ‘melting’ top ( created by the wonderful Jamie Mansfield) and our air stream van (on loan from our lovely neighbours at west SILC) serving marshmallows for toasting, rich decadent hot chocolates with toasted marshmallows and our signature s’mores.

We have blush pink benches for taking some time out from the crowds and let me tell you, it’s cheered up our January no end! Here’s a map of where to find us.

If you fancy a fun, free, immersive experience for January then pop down to Canary Wharf before the 27th January- we're here every day until 10pm.

We know you’ll love it here as much as we do!

Oonagh xx
