It’s a tradition that’s over 200 years old but… it wouldn’t be a marshmallowist teacake if we didn’t give it a unique twist. So here’s our new Afternoon Tea Collection: Complimented by abstract splatters of hand-painted chocolate, fresh herbs whisked into soft mallow and pretty lil plumps of fruit jams and curds. And that little bit extra? Well, we’ve partnered with our pals at Good and Proper Tea to bring you a tea pairing to go with it. We first came across Good & Proper Tea in London about ten years ago…on the food market scene everyone would get particularly hyped about coffee. Me, however, I really do love a good cup of tea. With their little Citroen van they served up premium quality, award-winning teas- just what I was looking for. I've been a fan ever since. 

Our Afternoon Tea-cakes collection are inspired by your favourite afternoon tea classics from Carrot Cake with a spiced mallow fluff to the iconic Battenburg. We’ve paired the Good and Proper Earl Grey with the Carrot Cake and Lemon Drizzle teacake- the perfect balance between body and the light lemon aroma in the tea making it fragrant but not overpowering. And, yes, I add milk to my Earl Grey.  Then there Hibiscus tea (which is absolutely DELICIOUS) goes amazingly with our vicky sponge tea cake and the Battenburg. The hibiscus herbal infusion is nicely tart and zingy- it is naturally sweetened by the teacakes for a dreamy match.
