Yup it's Pancake Day tomorrow- a chance to use up all your eggs, milk and flour before Lent… OR to whip up a huge stack of fluffy carby decadence and smother them in fun…on a Tuesday.  I will gladly take any opportunity to eat a pancake, a crepe, a buckwheat galettes or anything similar. This recipe is for my ‘weekend’ pancakes.

To celebrate the season of love, we hooked up with London restaurant Aster to put on a feast of mallowy treats this. I chatted to their in house magazine THE DISH about why I make marshmallows, who we love working with and our not- so secret ingredients. 

I’m so into Valentines at the moment. I’ve really come full circle on this… I love joyful shop displays of bright florals, I love the big breath of crisp newness it brings, I love how it’s moved from being quite a rigidly heterosexual celebration of romance to just being a big celebration of love. From galentines to self-love. Just love. Oh, and cocktails and nice desserts. And I just love cocktails and dessert.

Lucy has cracked what every small business needs and delivered it in less than 200 fabulously written pages. She says it’s about PR but it feels more than that- it’s about how to make a living doing something you care about and convince other people to care as much as you do. That’s what she’s passionate about. 

Happy New Year! Are you back? We are well and truly back. Christmas is just a slightly hazy memory now. But I finally get the January stuff.  This was my first Christmas off in many many years and I now understand why Dry January is a thing and why Veganuary is so popular because I’M DONE. Normally, I’m still lurking around January with a glass of wine, trying to convince friends to stay and finish off the cheese, but this year… I get it. I’m on the sparkling water and the steamed veg and the long walks and the lists of things I want to achieve.
