Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream Marshmallowist Recipe

Toasted Marshmallow Ice-Cream

Phew! What a scorcher. We're looking for any excuse to get out of the kitchen this week and we've got just the recipe to do it. Yup, toasted marshmallow ice cream. All the very best of summer joys from smoky festival campfires to sun speckled beaches- churned into each indulgent lick. I use an ice cream maker to whip this up- but it is also pretty easy to make by hand, you just need a fork and some wrists that fancy a work out.

Don't Drink Gin All Day...

Don't Drink Gin All Day...

This time 6 years ago it was the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. You may remember it… it rained, there were boats. Anyway, to mark the occasion I created my Blueberry & Gin marshmallow for a party. The flavour was whipped up as a celebration of Britishness, nostalgia. A dewy hedgerows and gin- in- teacups- kind of thing ( I’d just moved back from Paris so that didn’t seem so Brexit-ty then)

So, John Lewis emailed back....

So, John Lewis emailed back....

 So, John Lewis emailed back.

“oh my god, I can’t look, I can’t look”

That’s the problem when you have one of those dream boards and at the top of it is John Lewis circled and underlined in different coloured pens. When you finally get an email from them it all gets a bit much.

“They love the marshmallows”

I can’t BREATHE at this point.

Why I made a Bloody Mary Marshmallow

Why I made a Bloody Mary Marshmallow

I know why I fell in love with the Bloody Mary; it got me when I was vulnerable. In fact, it always gets me when I’m vulnerable. Fuzzy headed, dry mouthed and unsure of what I like or want. For a while I questioned if I actually really liked ‘Marys or if it was just circumstance- but nope, she’s a keeper.

Ooh, that looks new!

Yup, our luxe new packaging has arrived and we couldn’t be more in love. It’s gold, for starters. Lovely shimmery gold. And as well as an update on the outside we’ve tweaked our signature recipe. Phew! We’ve been busy.

foodie start up, tips on launching a food company, 5 tips on running a start up,

How to launch a food Start Up

I genuinely believe that you should only think about launching a food brand if that product is your passion. Something you are evangelical about- it really saddens me to see cynical marketing or piggy backing on ‘trends’. Create a product from desire, curiosity and never stop wanting to innovate, create and push yourself.
